I spoke with Jeff and he addressed some frequently asked questions about the kettlebell trainer course:
Do I need to be a coach to attend this course?
No, this course is open to anyone interested in maximizing personal performance! It will open up a world of new kettlebell techniques that will enhance your CrossFit programming. If you are a coach, you will also acquire skills to be a proficient kettlebell instructor. You will learn how to effectively teach kettlebell exercises, quickly detect and correct common errors, and safely conduct kettlebell training.
Is there a written test?
No, this course is strictly performance based.
What course materials, if any, come with this course?

Are there any pre-requisites for this course?
No, anyone can attend. However, in order to receive a Trainer Certificate for the Kettlebell Gymnastics Trainer Course one must hold a valid and current Level 1 Trainer Certificate. If you attend and do not hold a valid and current Level 1 Trainer Certificate, you will be issued a Certificate of Attendance.
The workshop will run from 8:30 am – 5 pm on Saturday March 15th and Sunday March 16th. Everyone is welcome and you can register HERE. As Jeff reminded me, kettlebell training is very complimentary to Olympic weightlifting, and it will increase your flexibility, joint mobility, and range of motion. It is also excellent for training around an injury, as the kettlebells are more forgiving than the bar. So whether you are a coach looking to improve your teaching or are simply looking to improve your own performance, come spend your weekend at CrossFit Huntington Beach becoming an even better athlete!
